On July 13, the Ukrainian military suffered losses from the return fire of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine one Ukrainian soldier was killed as a result of artillery fire near the village of Prichepilovka.
The LPR officials reported on July 13 that their soldiers managed to destroy a point of deployment of Ukrainian artillery that was constantly used for shelling of military and civilian facilities near the same village. As a result, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and three others were reportedly wounded.
“Near the Slavyanoserbsky, the militants of the 15th battalion of the 128th brigade of the UAF, on the order of Commander Golshevsky, fired 120-mm mortars from positions near the locality of Prichepilovka at the area of the locality of Zhelobok, 10 mines were fired.” – the People’s Militia reported
Kiev claimed that the LPR forces had used 152-mm caliber mortars to target the Ukrainian post.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported strikes on its positions in the Donetsk People’s Republic with 82-mm and 120-mm mortars, as well as 122-mm guns.
Reports on fire on the front lines in Eastern Ukraine are coming on a daily basis. However, the deaths are likely an exception. Since the end of the Sea Breeze 2021 joint NATO exercise in Odessa, the number of casualties has significantly decreased.
